Our Story
At the root of Branch Out Productions is the all-Black, all-female founding team Lisa Mathis, Lisa Oliver-King, and Andola Mathis.
With an impressive track record in their own communities combatting the barriers faced by minorities and women, the women resolved to broaden their reach and further advance diversity in the entertainment industry. So they pooled their resources, and by 2019, established Branch Out Productions LLC.
In 2020 they partnered with Krista Suh, an Asian- American activist, writer-producer, and history-making artist (Suh invented the now-iconic Pussyhat that created a worldwide sensation at the Women's March in 2017). She currently serves as Executive Vice President of Development.
Branch Out Productions is focused on providing exciting content that's created and curated by a culturally diverse team for a mainstream audience.
